Crohn's/Colitis Awareness
Crohn's and a related disease, ulcerative colitis are the two main disease categories that belong to a larger group of illnesses called inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Both illnesses have one strong feature in common. They are marked by an abnormal response by the body's immune system.
Although Crohn's disease most commonly affects the end of the small intestine and the beginning of the large intestine, it may involve any part of the GI tract. In ulcerative colitis, on the other hand, the GI involvement is limited to the colon.
It is estimated that as many as 1.4 million Americans have IBD -- with that number evenly split between Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. Men and women appear to be affected equally.
I have 2 friends that suffer from IBD. I will donate 10% of the proceeds from the sale of these items to IBD research and support programs.

Before you place this pendant around your neck, close your eyes, blow the seeds and state your wish.Back of charm can be engraved with your wish if you like, just put it in the special instructions during check-out.
Each charm is handcrafted one piece at a time.
